I have always had a curiosity for graphic art, but have very recently also come to love graphic design. Inspired by my love of bold colors and the Cooper Black typeface, I sought out to design a collection of posters as part of an assignment for Archives & Collections. My response to the assignment was very personal in nature; I decided to write a proposal for a self-designed project entitled, “Storage + Display Space.” This Space, which was to speculatively open in San Francisco in 2020, was to function as a studio and storage building to be utilized by current art and design students and recent graduates. These posters are to serve as advertisements to accompany the proposal. In making these posters, not only did I increase my familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, but I learned that there is an iterative process involved in building the layout for a poster.
